By default, Hone can be uninstalled like any other application through Windows.
However, in rare cases, errors may prevent a normal uninstall.

This guide walks you through all available methods to safely remove Hone.

โš ๏ธ Important Recommendation

Before uninstalling, we strongly recommend:

  • Disabling all optimizations

  • Restarting your PC

This ensures a clean and safe removal of all system tweaks applied by Hone.

Normal Uninstallation 

  • Open Control Panel

  • Navigate to Programs and Features

  • Locate Hone

  • Click Uninstall

Use a Third-Party Uninstaller (If Needed)

If Hone does not uninstall properly, a third-party uninstaller can help remove leftover files.

These tools are more powerful than the default Windows uninstaller and remove residual files automatically.

Option 1: Geek Uninstaller

Geek Uninstaller is lightweight, free, and easy to use.

๐ŸŽฎ Uninstalling Hone via Epic Games

If you installed Hone through the Epic Games Store:

  • Open the Epic Games Launcher

  • Locate Hone in your library

  • Right-click the app

  • Select Uninstall

Manual Epic Games Uninstallation 

Step 1: Check Epic Games Installation Folders

Navigate to the following locations and delete anything related to Hone:

C:\Program Files\Epic Games\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\

Delete only folders or files related to Hone.

Step 2: Remove Epic Manifest File

  • Go to:
    %programdata%\Epic\EpicGamesLauncher\Data\Manifests

  • Look for a file related to Hone

    • Filenames are random

    • Open files in Notepad if needed

    • Search for the word โ€œHoneโ€

  • Delete only the manifest file that references Hone
    (Delete the entire file, not just the text inside)

Step 3: End Epic Games Processes

  • Open Task Manager

  • End all Epic Games related processes

Step 4: Clear Epic Games Cache

  • Press Win + R

  • Paste the following path:

%localappdata%\EpicGamesLauncher

  • Delete the Saved folder

Step 5: Restart Your PC

  • Restart the system

  • Open Epic Games Launcher

  • Log back in

  • Hone should now be fully removed

  • You can reinstall the latest version cleanly
